The event, which would take place between July 22 and 23 in San José, Costa Rica, this year, was re-scheduled for October 28 and 29, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Miami, March 30, 2020. ACR Latin America magazine, organizer of Refriaméricas, and its parent company, Latin Press, Inc. announce new dates for the seventeenth edition that will take place this year: October 28 and 29. The decision was made after extensive consultation with our clients and officials from the Costa Rica Convention Center, venue of the event, about the feasibility of the dates initially announced: July 22 and 23, in the midst of the global pandemic.
First reported in Wuhan, China on December 31, 2019, the Coronavirus COVID-19 was declared a pandemic on March 11, 2020. The organization of Refriaméricas, aware of executive decree 42227 of the Costa Rican government and the constant statements issued by the Ministry of Health of that country, decided to reschedule the event for October 28 and 29.
"Although we understand that this can cause inconvenience, we consider the health and safety of our exhibitors and participants to be our main concern," says Max Jaramillo, show director of Refriaméricas.
Refriaméricas 2020 was rescheduled from October 28 to 29, 2020 (Wednesday to Thursday), at the Costa Rica Convention Center.
