Environmental sustainability, regulations and best practices in commercial and industrial refrigeration system installation projects.
MASTER CLASS:
Flammable Refrigerants for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
Ing. Gildardo Yáñez
Refrigeration Specialist - Mexico
With the process of reducing refrigerants with high global warming potential, the refrigeration and air conditioning sectors have the task of adapting to new synthetic or natural flammable fluids that will replace the current ones.
Comprehensive commercial refrigeration guide to address the Kigali Amendment in Latin America
Misael González
Emerson – Mexico
Facing the entry into force of the Kigali amendment questions arise about what is the best solution to meet the proposed targets for 2029 in terms of reducing Co2 emissions. In this paper, we seek to understand the commercial refrigeration options available and their advantages through a TEWI analysis that considers both natural refrigerants and slightly flammable and low GWP. This exercise takes into account various factors such as the specific climate by region, the cooling capacity required, the distribution of low and medium temperature circuits, among others. In addition, it will briefly address the global context and terminology necessary to understand the direction that will take the world of commercial refrigeration in the coming years.
Update of ANSI IIAR standards and norms applicable to the ammonia and carbon dioxide refrigeration industry.
Yesenia Rector
Directora Internacional de IIAR – USA
Because the standards are updated periodically, and new editions have recently been approved by ANSI, it is of much benefit to professionals in the refrigeration industry (both in the U.S. and Latin America) to know the changes in the requirements for systems included in the new editions of the standards.
Climate control for bacterial contamination control in food processing rooms
Silvio Toro
Froztec - Colombia
Because the standards are updated periodically, and new editions have recently been approved by ANSI, it is of much benefit to professionals in the refrigeration industry (both in the U.S. and Latin America) to know the changes in the requirements for systems included in the new editions of the standards.

The importance of proper temperature control: monitoring, reporting, set point, defrosting, door opening; automated processes, BKP equipment rotation, expansion device systems.
From what size of store/format should I use CO2 as a refrigerant?
Aldrick Cruz
Climatizadora - Panamá
In commercial refrigeration in supermarkets it is not very clear from what size of store or format becomes attractive / profitable to use CO2 as a refrigerant, so one of the objectives of the presentation is to determine that "breakpoint".
