CLIMA LATINO
CONTEST PARAMETERS 2022

ACR LATINOAMÉRICA and REFRIAMÉRICAS magazine present, for the first time, the Latin Climate Contest, which chooses the Best HVAC / R Installation in the region, recognizing projects and installations of air conditioning systems and / or refrigeration most outstanding in Latin America during the last year (2020-2021).

The winner of the first version of the contest will be known in the framework of Refriaméricas Miami, to be held on 20 and 21 July 2022 at the Miami Airport Convention Center (MACC).

• The call is open throughout the Latin American territory.
• It is understood as HVAC / R installation to all projects that require the integration of equipment and air conditioning systems or commercial and industrial refrigeration that are completed and operating at the closing date of this call.
• The proposal submitted must not be more than two years old as of the closing date of the competition.
• Each participating entity/company may compete with only one project.
• The materials submitted to participate in the competition may be freely used by the organization for promotion and dissemination purposes.

To apply for the Clima Latino Contest, the following steps must be followed:

Projects can only be submitted through the website www.refriamericas.com.

• Record a video of maximum 3 minutes explaining and showing all the details of the installation. The video must be uploaded to Youtube.
• Fill out the application form HERE in which you must add all the information requested, and a description of the project as complete as possible, with details such as type of installation, project objectives, equipment and systems implemented, technical characteristics, etc.
• Send three to four high resolution photographs of the project to the following e-mail address:This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The deadline for project applications is May 27 at 5:00 p.m., Mexico City time.
• The submission of projects for the Competition signifies acceptance of all the parameters of the Competition.

The following criteria will be taken into account for the selection of the finalist projects:

• 1) The type of cutting-edge technologies incorporated in it.
• 2) The degree to which the air conditioning and/or refrigeration technologies have a positive influence on the intervened space by optimizing its operation.
• 3) The significance that the project could have for the benefit of the region or the country.
• 4) The works submitted may belong to the categories: commercial or industrial.

A jury of industry experts will analyze the projects submitted and choose four finalists.

The winning project of the first version of the Clima Latino Contest will be chosen among the four finalists through virtual voting, which will take place between June 24 and July 20, 2022, through the websites of the magazine ACR LATINOAMÉRICA and Refriaméricas.

The winner of the Clima Latino Contest will receive:

• Recognition trophy
• Article in ACR LATINOAMÉRICA magazine highlighting the installation and the winning company.
• The four finalists will be taken to Refriaméricas Miami and will participate in a panel to present each of their projects.
