TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The CALA Awards will once again present the award for Best HVAC/R Installations in Latin America, recognizing the most outstanding air conditioning and refrigeration system projects and installations in Latin America during the past year (2025-2026). The winner of the CALA Awards for Best HVAC/R Installation will be announced at Refriaméricas Miami, with a ceremony to be held on July 29, 2026, at the Broward County Convention Center

TWO CATEGORIES WILL BE AWARDED:

• BEST AIR CONDITIONING PROJECT
• BEST REFRIGERATION PROJECT

PARAMETERS:

The call for entries is open throughout Latin America. An HVAC/R Installation is defined as any project requiring the integration of commercial and industrial air conditioning or refrigeration equipment and systems that are completed and operational at the time of the closing of this call. The proposal must not be older than two years from the closing date of the call. Each participating entity or company may submit only one project. The submitted materials may be freely used by the organization for promotional and dissemination purposes.

To submit a project to the CALA AWARDS Best HVAC/R Installation, the following steps must be followed:

• Project submissions will be accepted exclusively through the website www.refriamericas.com.
• Record a video explaining and showing all the details of the installation. The video must be uploaded to YouTube or submitted in MP4 format.
• Complete the application form available on the website, adding all the requested information and a comprehensive description of the project, including details such as the type of installation, project objectives, equipment and systems implemented, technical specifications, etc.
  Send three to four high-resolution photographs of the submitted project to: [email protected].
• The deadline for project submissions is June 1st at 5:00 p.m. (GMT-5). Submitting a project for the award implies acceptance of all its terms and conditions.
  The following criteria will be considered when selecting the finalist projects: the type of cutting-edge technologies incorporated into the project, the degree to which the air conditioning and refrigeration technologies positively influence the space by optimizing its operation, and the potential impact of the project on the region or country.

*Participation of Previous Winners:
Applications for the CALA Awards are accepted annually with new participants. Companies that have previously won may apply again only with a different project than the one that received the award, and only after three (3) years have passed since their initial recognition.
During this three-year period, no new applications will be accepted from winning companies, in accordance with the policies established in 2026 for the CALA Awards. This measure aims to ensure active participation and provide opportunities for new companies to compete for this award.
The policies and other provisions related to the awards may be modified at any time by the organizing body without prior notice.

HOW AND WHEN IS THE WINNING PROJECT CHOSEN?
A jury of industry experts will analyze the submitted projects and select0 three finalists in each category. The winning projects of the CALA AWARDS Best HVAC/R Installation will be selected from among the finalists through online voting, which will take place during June and July via the websites of ACR LATINOAMÉRICA magazine and Refriaméricas.
