ACR Latin America magazine in the framework of Refriamericas, awards the CALA Award™ to the Best HVAC/R Installation in Latin America in 2023.
For this 2023, the CALA AWARDS present the award for Best HVAC/R Installation in Latin America, recognizing the most outstanding projects and installations of air conditioning systems and / or refrigeration in Latin America during the last year (2021-2022).
The winner of the CALA AWARDS Best HVAC/R Installation will be announced at Refriamericas in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to be held July 26-27, 2023 at the Puerto Rico Convention Center - CCPR.
The CALA AWARDS was identified, in previous years, as the "Clima Latino" contest.

PARAMETERS
- The call is open throughout the Latin American territory.
- It is understood as HVAC / R installation to all projects that require the integration of equipment and air conditioning systems or commercial and industrial refrigeration that are completed and operating at the closing date of this call.
- The proposal submitted must be no more than two years old as of the closing date of the solicitation.
- Each participating entity/company may compete with only one project.
- The materials submitted for participation may be freely used by the organization for promotion and dissemination purposes.
To submit a project for the CALA AWARDS Best HVAC/R Installation, the following steps must be followed:
Project applications may only be submitted through the web page www.refriamericas.com.
- We will provide a 3 minutes maximum video explaining and showing all the details of the installation. The video must be uploaded to Youtube.
- Fill out the application form HERE in which you must add all the information requested, and a description of the project as complete as possible, with details such as type of installation, project objectives, equipment and systems implemented, technical characteristics, etc.

- The deadline for project submission is May 27 at 5:00 p.m., Mexico City time.
- The submission of projects for the award signifies acceptance of all the parameters of the award.
The following criteria will be taken into account for the selection of the finalist projects:
- The type of state-of-the-art technologies incorporated in it.
- The degree to which the air conditioning and/or refrigeration technologies positively influence the intervened space by optimizing its operation.
- The significance that the project could have for the benefit of the region or the country.
- The works submitted may belong to the categories: commercial or industrial.
HOW AND WHEN IS THE WINNING PROJECT CHOSEN?
A jury of industry experts will review the projects submitted and select four finalists.
The winning project of the CALA AWARDS Best HVAC/R Installation will be chosen among the four finalists through virtual voting, which will take place between June 24 and July 20, 2023, through the websites of ACR LATINOAMERICA magazine and Refriaméricas.
RECOGNITION
The winner of the CALA AWARDS Best HVAC/R Installation will get:
A jury of industry experts will review the projects submitted and select four finalists.
The winning project of the CALA AWARDS Best HVAC/R Installation will be chosen among the four finalists through virtual voting, which will take place between June 24 and July 20, 2023, through the websites of ACR LATINOAMERICA magazine and Refriaméricas.
RECOGNITION
The winner of the CALA AWARDS Best HVAC/R Installation will get:
- Recognition trophy
- Article in ACR LATINOAMERICA magazine highlighting the installation and the winning company.
- The four finalists will be taken to Refriaméricas and will participate in a panel to present each of their projects.

The winner of the CALA AWARD Best HVAC/R Installation of 2023 will be announced in the framework of Refriamericas in a ceremony on July 26, 2023 at the Puerto Rico Convention Center - CCPR. In this ceremony, awards will be presented to the finalists and the trophy to the winner.
